The European continent, as well as each of its member states, is a constellation of ethnicities, languages and cultural traditions which, throughout history and still today, make it an extremely rich place with enormous potential. Increasingly, we are realising that the diversity factor is a strength, an element that must be harnessed to strengthen cultural identity, openness towards others and, consequently, progress.
These issues are gaining more and more force on the international scene when it comes to thinking about improving social conditions and inclusion of often disadvantaged minorities. This is a slow path, which requires a lot of awareness-raising work by social actors to reap the benefits.
Patricia Robu is one of the Pinocchio Centre's most active volunteers. She is 17 years old and is a student at the "Ioan Slavici" High School in Panciu. In the framework of the project "vulnerAbilities: from challenges to opportunities" she was directly involved in educational activities under the coordination of the centre's educator, Oana Soare.
Oana is the center's educator, a wonderful person who is behind the educational activities. She is there for every sad or happy thought of the children, always acting with a lot of affection, the secret that successfully led her to reach the 11 years of pedagogical career.
Oana is responsible for the educational component of the project “vulnerABILITY: from challenges to opportunities” and below you will find a short interview about her activity.
In 2016, Asociatia Lumea lui Pinocchio received the financial support of the Erasmus+ program, Key Action 3 – Civil Society Cooperation in the field of Youth. |
